Joel Cooper, DO

Joel Cooper, DO is a board certified family physician in the Phoenix, AZ area, a professional medical writer/reporter and photographer. Dr Cooper has 40 years of writing experience to his credit. His work has been published in a wide variety of media, reaching both health care consumers and physicians. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Denver. He graduated originally with a BA in mass communications and psychology from DU, then returned years later to his alma mater to complete his pre-med studies. He obtained his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. He completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, KY. Dr Cooper has worked in both family practice and urgent care since graduating from his residency in May 2010. His outside interests include music, songwriting, and fine coffee.
