Dr Deshmukh has trained at top institutions across the country, including Yale University, Stanford School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York.
Dr Deshmukh is known for her expertise in high-resolution peripheral nerve imaging and published the first papers on imaging of nerve and musculoskeletal complications of COVID-19.
