NEW ORLEANS — Infection control and antibiotic stewardship were central areas of focus at Infectious Disease Week 2016.
In the video below, Arjun Srinivasan, MD, of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention discusses some of the key papers presented this week focused on infection control as it relates to both what providers wear and contamination of devices during cardiac surgery. Dr Srinivasan also discusses the importance of antibiotic stewardship.
