Tracy Frech, MD, joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in July 2021. Prior to VUMC, she received training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Eastern Virginia Medical School, and the University of Utah, and had 16 years of experience as the director of Systemic Sclerosis (SSc) Clinic at University of Utah and the director of Rheumatology Clinical Trials. At the University of Utah, she established a multidisciplinary translational research program that is internationally recognized for excellence and one of the largest in the United States; it is her goal to do the same at VUMC.
